Before you can take the practical driving test you must first sit and pass the theory test.
Our local test centre is located at, Unit 14/15 Kingston House South, Bond Street, Hull, HU1 3EN.
The cost for this test is currently £30.00, and is booked with the DSA.
The theory test comprises of two parts.
50 multiple choice questions, based on road knowledge and safety. These are randomly selected from a data bank of 1000 questions.
and you need to score a minimum of 43 to pass.
The second part is hazard perception. This consists of 14 short video clips in which you must identify developing hazards as quickly as possible. There are 15 hazards each worth between 0 and 6 points.
You must score a minimum of 44 to pass this part. The time allowed for this is 15 mins.
You cannot gain your theory test certificate unless you pass both tests at the same test session. If you pass both test you get a certificate and now have up to 2 years to pass your practical driving test.
